Yesterday I tried to leave the house to pick my wife up at work. Now the smart thing to do would have been to leave early and have time for unexpected delays, and since I’m a smart man I left earlier than late. I was levelling in *insert video game babble here* and when I [...]
I have the play-by-play website up that shows a representation of the field, the statistics on the current drive as well, the time and scoreboard. It’s a really neat tool, and it allows me to work (or play) while the game is going on. My wife is in the next room watching the Superbowl (ursine [...]

My wife and I watched Brokeback Mountain the other day. No, she didn’t twist my arm to watch. No, I wasn’t silently signaling something secret about my relationship with her. The movie won awards and had Anne Hathaway and Linda Cardellini. I don’t think I needed more of a reason to watch it, and those [...]

In the third quarter, when the Bears were leading 16-7, Reggie Bush caught a pass and sprinted up the field for an 88 yard touchdown, bringing the Saints within 2. My wife told me it was my fault because I was watching the game, so I retreated to the office.
Why do I watch movies that insist on making me laugh for one great scene only to turn me away to paint my toy soldiers because the rest of it isn’t really watchable? Oh I remember now. I rented Reign of Fire so that I’d have something to listen to while I painted.

I think next time I’m stuck on a computer game I’ll just get some sleep. There has to be a reason why I don’t really want to play Galactic Civilizations 2 anymore. (And after just a few days, too!) The most important reason is also really simple– Galactic Civilizations is not the game I went [...]

Not just any kind of sauce. Video game sauce. I’m in so much trouble that right after I post this I’ll probably delve into the depths once more. My name is Felix, and I’m a turn-based game a holic.
