The Great Debate
It’s 70-80 degrees out. I don’t have to go to work. It’s a beautiful day.
Time for a great debate. For great debates, I turn to Facebook.
Status update: Felix is debating between painting toy soldiers and doing actual work.
The next time I check Facebook, there is already a rebuttal.
My coworker S– says on my wall, Are you really debating? Be honest.
So now I have to manufacture an actual debate, but the unassembled plastic and pewter figures are a surprisingly strong argument supported by all the chores I’ve already done this morning.
Evidence in favor: I have unpainted, unassembled miniatures.
Evidence against: I have work tomorrow.
Hrm. There’s more to this than that.
Evidence in favor:
unpainted, unassembled minis
did laundry
mowed the lawn
cleaned up
Evidence against: None of the above applies to work tomorrow, except for the clean clothes.
Then N– posts, Work will always be there.
So the jury goes to deliberate and comes out with the following verdict, and verdicts are a form of truth, so I’ll have answered S–’s rebuttal about being honest.
