Superbowl homework

I have the play-by-play website up that shows a representation of the field, the statistics on the current drive as well, the time and scoreboard. It’s a really neat tool, and it allows me to work (or play) while the game is going on.

My wife is in the next room watching the Superbowl (ursine vs equidae, in case you don’t know). It’s very quiet, so before I click on the window to update the score, I’m going to guess that the Bears are down.

The web program is neat. It runs silently in the background until something important happens. It’s a stock sound that says “Touchdown!” or “Fumble!” but it alerts me to what’s going on and I easily switch between working and the window.

Today, however, I don’t need to switch. If I hear “Touchdown!” followed by a cheer from my wife in the other room, I have a pretty good idea that the Bears brought the ball to the end zone.

If, however, I don’t hear a cheer, then I know that the Colts have taken the lead.

There’s about 6 minutes left in the game, and the other room has been very quiet.

I think I’m going to stay in the cave for a little while longer.
